Scholarship

The Jefferson Neighborhood Association (JNA) scholarships assists graduating seniors living within or going to school within the boundaries of the JNA or any seniors graduating from Jefferson High School and the Young Women’s Leadership Academy. The scholarship committee decides the number and amount of the scholarships (JNA and/or "Evelia Molina Reyna Scholarship") awarded. 

The mission of the scholarship program is to support the youth of our community towards achieving their academic goals. 

Eligibility:

• Either attends Jefferson High School or Young Women’s Leadership Academy or lives within the boundaries of the JNA if attending a high school other than Jefferson and YWLA.
• Have a GPA of 3.0 (B) or higher (official transcript with grades from fall senior semester).
• Acceptance to vocational/trade school, college, or university. 

Restrictions:

Applications will be accepted from March 1, 2024 through April 20, 2024. The scholarship committee reserves the right to screen and interview all applicants. Awards shall be for tuition, fees, and/or books.

• Complete the online application at: bit.ly/2024JNAScholarship
• Provide proof of GPA.
• Provide a copy of acceptance letter to vocational/trade school, college, or university. 
• Provide your statement of purpose stating why you should receive a scholarship. Include your immediate objectives and long range goals. Also, include school, church, or volunteer activities. 
• Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers, religious leaders, volunteer advisors or community leaders.
